- Wadi Rum

Driving a 4WD vehicle through a roadless desert. Today's trails, left by the memories of veteran drivers, will disappear into the sand without waiting for tomorrow.

The vertical sway of the 4DW is stimulating the stomachache I've been having this morning. I think only of my stomach in front of the vast desert. I realize that my world is always centered on me.

It rarely rains, so it's no wonder there is not a cloud in the desert. Still, the sky is truly blue.

Naturally, there are oddly shaped rocks.

The craftsmanship of the wind.

The feeling of grabbing it and dropping it in the air is always fresh. No two deserts are the same.

The best drink in the desert is not cold water, but hot, sweet tea. I don't know why, but, in fact, it is.

An abandoned village where minerals were once processed. The smell of heavy machinery and cobwebs have all disappeared, leaving only quiet emptiness.

A catchment channel for rain that falls only a few days a year.

The experienced driver also got stuck in the sand. He managed to escape by letting air out of the tires.

It sets without a sound.

The temperature has indeed changed.

The nomadic Bedouin of the desert ride camels, live in tents, and are familiar with satellite cell phones. They only take in what they really need.

In a tent village in the desert, I left my tent many times in the middle of the night, plagued by diarrhea that would not stop. Each time, I was saved by the night sky that was too clear.

- to Amman -

Highway 15.

- Al-Ramthā -

The price of oil is soaring in Jordan, a rare country in the Middle East where oil is not produced. But there must be something that can be created because of the lack of oil resources.

- The Border

The cab driver who helped me cross the border was neither Jordanian nor Syrian, but PLO. I could not immediately find an appropriate expression to return his kind smile, and I realized my ignorance and inexperience.
