A city that is often seen as a place where the reporters report on the situation in the Middle East. An ordinary city with the smell of food at sunset.

テレビの中で中東情勢を伝えるレポーターがよくいた街。夕暮れには、食べ物の匂いがする普通の街。




My first Jordanian meal was thinly baked bread, something that tasted like cheese, something spicy and something that tasted like beans.

最初のヨルダン飯は、薄く焼いたパンと、チーズの味がするナニカと、辛いナニカと豆の味がするナニカ。




Colorful nuts. Oh, I want to have a beer.

色とりどりのナッツ。あー、ビール飲みたい。




In this city where it is very difficult to find a bar, I finally found one in a back alley. In a dimly lit room behind heavy curtains, I had a rather unrefreshing beer.

酒場がほとんど無いこの街で、やっと見つけた路地裏のバー。重いカーテンの先の薄暗い部屋で、やたら爽快感の無いビールを飲む。




The ruins are perhaps most beautiful near dawn.

遺跡は夜明け近くが一番美人な気がする。




The sun is rising. This time is ending.

日が昇る。この時間が終わる。




The world in the shadows does not yet know today.

影の中は、まだ、今日の日を知らない。




Many times it has been warmed by the sun, cooled by the moon, and then acquired body heat.

何度も太陽で温まって月に冷やされてきた。そして、体温が生まれた。




A quiet time, not even the sound of the wind could be heard. A distant flag told us that the wind was present.

風の音も聞こえない静かな時間。遠くの旗が、風の存在を教えていた。




It was like staring at a sleeping face. I walked without making a sound.

寝顔を見つめているようだった。少しだけ、音をたてないよう歩いた。




Sometimes graffiti can make something more beautiful.

落書きが美しい時もある。




The sound of morning is beginning.

朝の音が、始まった。




Good Morning Tea.

はじめのお茶。




Happy to be in the shade.

日陰にいる幸せ。




Since long ago, everyone was excited about songs and plays.

みんな、歌や劇に興奮した。大昔から。
