People play cards at tables lined up in the alley while puffing water pipes. It's all right if there is no alcohol because anyone can get drunk just by being in the night.

路地に並ぶテーブルで、水煙草をふかしながらトランプに興じる。酒など無くても大丈夫。誰でも夜に酔えるから。




Narrow alleys crisscrossing the old town. I got lost many times and had pleasant encounters each time. This is the perfect town when I want to get lost.

旧市街を縦横無尽に走る細い路地。何度も迷って、その度に楽しい出会いがあった。迷いたい時には最適な街。




The exhalation of plants, pouring down from the green roof.

緑の屋根から降り注ぐ、植物の呼気。




The water fountain, a common sight throughout this city, is a place to feel God in this arid land.

街中でよく見かける水飲み場。この乾燥の地では、神を感じる場所。




A fashionable street.

お洒落着どおり。




I can always find them before I get hungry.

小腹が減る前に必ず出会える。




Lamb and coriander, a miraculous flavor created by the meeting of two strong characteristics.

Shawarma goes great with fresh fruit juices, served in large mugs and straws.

In the front is a Christian church and in the back is an Islamic mosque. They are neighbors and have been always doing well together.

手前はキリスト教会、奥はイスラムモスク。お隣同士で、ずっとうまくやってきた。




Comparing the eggplants with both hands, and choosing the right shape for tonight's dish. A common afternoon, a common scene.

両手で茄子を見比べ、今夜の料理に合う形を選ぶ。当たり前の午後、当たり前の景色。
