この景色の前も見たかった。
After having been all the way around the South American continent, there was a shopping center that looked like a starting point. It is a wonder that no matter how long I have been away , I can so quickly adapt to modern things.
南米大陸ぐるりと廻ったところに、振り出しみたいなショッピングセンター。どれだけ長く離れていても、近代的なものにはすぐに順応できる不思議。
I remember thinking during this journey that I wanted to learn how to play chess. All that remained after the time that passed in a flash were the things I didn't do.
そういえばチェスを覚えたいなんて、この旅の途中で思ったこともあった。“あっという間“の後に残ったのは、やらなかったことばかり。
Sorting through the contents of my backpack in the last inn. All the props I brought from Japan that I did not use, all the things I was given or found that I could not throw away, I needed them all for my back throughout the journey.
最後の宿でバックパックを整理する。日本から持ってきて使わなかった小道具も、捨てられなかった貰い物や拾い物も、全部、ずっと背中に必要だった。
Once I pass this ordinary road and catch a cab on the main street, I will be at the airport in no time, and the continent of South America will be far away.
この特別でない道を過ぎて、大通りでタクシーを捕まえたら、あっという間に空港に着いて、南米大陸は遥か遠くなる。
